World's Strongest Adaptive Athlete

Adaptive Strongman began as an idea from a group of individuals in Iceland, with the very first competition bringing together a small group of Icelandic adaptive athletes. What started as a grassroots effort has since grown into an international movement, with competitions now held across multiple countries and an expanding community of athletes.

Today, Adaptive Strongman is recognized as an evolving strength sport, featuring both standing and seated divisions to ensure inclusivity across a wide range of athletes. The sport has established partnerships with organizations such as GB Disabled Strongman and Official Strongman Games, both of which have hosted world championship events. Adaptive athletes have also been featured on one of the sport’s biggest stages - the Arnold Sports Festival - through the efforts of Magnus Ver Magnusson, Dione Masters and Strongman Corporation.

The Adaptive Strongman World Championships have been hosted internationally, with events held in Canada, England, the United States, and Iceland. As the sport has developed, athletes have pushed boundaries and set official world records, further solidifying its place on the global stage.

Legendary strongman Magnus Ver Magnusson plays a vital role in the sport’s development and growth, serving as both an official judge and a passionate promoter.
